Job summary

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a Neurohospitalist to examine and treat patients with disorders of the nerves, brain and spinal cord. The physician will perform neurological exams, collect samples, and administer tests to discern problems.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex cases, advising on aftercare, monitoring progress, adjusting therapies, ordering tests and maintaining billing records, with on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Licenses in NJ and PA required.
• Board certification/eligibility in Neurology expected.
• 3+ years of specialty neurology training from an accredited residency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex medical problems by reviewing history, exam and tests.
• Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments or medications as needed.
• Prescribe treatments or medications to improve the condition.
• Order tests and interpret results to determine best options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete documentation for billing.
• Attend training and seminars to stay current in neurology.
• Participate in on-call scheduling in a timely manner.

$318,000.00-$578,681.00

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a Neurohospitalist who will be responsible for examining and treating patients who experience disorders, illnesses and injuries that affect the nerves, spinal cord and brain. Their duties include conducting physical examinations, collecting spinal fluid or other samples and running neurological tests to identify problems.

Opportunity Details:

• Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patient's history, examining them and conducting neurological tests
• Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management strategies
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments or medication as needed
• Prescribe treatments or medication best suited to improve the patient's condition
• Order tests and interpret results in order to determine the best treatment options
• Keep accurate patient medical records; completing all necessary documentation to allow for timely and efficient billing and claim submittal
• Attend training and seminars to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in neurology
• Participates in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner
