Job summary

Capital Health Medical Group seeks a Neurohospitalist in New Jersey to examine and treat patients with disorders of the nervous system, brain and spinal cord. The role emphasizes accurate neurological assessment, ordering tests and coordinating care.

You will participate in on-call coverage, maintain detailed medical records and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure timely billing and compliance.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• NJ and PA licenses required.
• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
• 3+ years of specialty training from an accredited neurology residency program.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex neurological conditions based on history, exam and tests.
• Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term management.
• Monitor progress; adjust treatments as needed.
• Prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Order tests and interpret results to guide care decisions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete billing documentation.
• Attend trainings and seminars to stay current in neurology.
• Participate in on-call schedule as required.

Pay Range:

$318,000.00-$578,681.00

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a Neurohospitalist who will be responsible for examining and treating patients who experience disorders, illnesses and injuries that affect the nerves, spinal cord and brain. Their duties include conducting physical examinations, collecting spinal fluid or other samples and running neurological tests to identify problems.

Opportunity Details:

• Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patient's history, examining them and conducting neurological tests
• Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management strategies
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments or medication as needed
• Prescribe treatments or medication best suited to improve the patient's condition
• Order tests and interpret results in order to determine the best treatment options
• Keep accurate patient medical records; completing all necessary documentation to allow for timely and efficient billing and claim submittal
• Attend training and seminars to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in neurology
• Participates in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner
