Summit Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform nerve conduction studies under physician supervision. You will review medical records, explain procedures to patients and help ensure HIPAA-compliant, high-quality testing in a patient-centric care environment.

The role requires completion of a CAAHEP-accredited END/Neurodiagnostic program, at least 12 months of NCS training, and BLS certification. Travel to satellite locations is expected as part of group meetings.

Qualifications

• Complete an END/Neurodiagnostic Technologist program accredited by the CAAHEP.
• Complete at least 12 months of full-time, practical, on-the-job training in NCS.
• BLS certification according to SMG policies and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Explain the NCS procedure to obtain the patient’s cooperation and consent.
• Review the patient’s electronic medical record for pertinent information (pacemakers, defibrillators, neurostimulators, antithrombotic meds).
• Perform both common and uncommon nerve conduction studies; proficient in repetitive nerve stimulation and blink reflex studies.
• Independently perform NCS under the direct supervision of a physician.
• Recognize neuromuscular disease processes and pathology.
• Follow SMG policies and procedures and AANEM guidelines.
