Job summary

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is seeking an experienced NCS Technologist to perform nerve conduction studies across patients of all ages. The role requires meticulous testing, patient interaction, and accurate documentation within a high‑quality orthopedic setting.

The candidate will hold an END-associated degree, BLS certification, and RNCS.T. certification with recertification every five years if earned after 2009, supporting a patient‑centered diagnostic workflow.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in END or health-related field required.
• BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification required; RNCS.T. certification required or recertification every 5 years if certified after 2009.

Responsibilities

• Performs common and uncommon NCSs in a skilled, patient-appropriate manner; recognizes normal/abnormal results and minimizes artifacts.
• Greet patients and explain testing procedures to obtain cooperation.
• Facilitates all aspects of study completion including history, paperwork, charging, and archiving.
• Troubleshoots equipment, inventories supplies, and maintains room cleanliness.
• Maintains knowledge of current practices and techniques through continuing education.
• Takes call as needed and responds promptly.
• Maintains professional communication with patients and staff.
