Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEGs, LTMs, and related studies with supervision appropriate to training. The role emphasizes independent EEG experience and meticulous documentation across patient charts and lab files.

Candidates will operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment, prepare patients, and explain procedures to ensure optimal results. Multiple shifts available; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance offered for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Certification or education in Neurodiagnostic Tech as required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Independent EEG experience is required and must be reflected on the application.
• Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects EEG equipment per infection control policies.
• Completes EEGs/LTMs as part of diagnostic studies.
• Documents data in patient charts and lab files accurately.
• Explains tests and procedures to patients to obtain optimal results.
• Performs all EEG types including bedside and lab EEGs.
• Prepares patients and provides age-appropriate information.
• Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs per policy.
• May perform additional neurodiagnostic tests as competence allows.
• Notifies Neuroscience physician of grossly abnormal EEG tracings when needed.
