Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEGs, LTMs, and related procedures with a focus on accuracy and patient comfort. Independent EEG experience is required for consideration.

The role offers multiple shifts, opportunities for sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance for candidates moving 50 miles or more. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong infection control practices, data documentation, and the ability to troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• Independent EEG tech experience required.
• Knowledge of EEG/LTMs and patient preparation.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects EEG equipment and follows infection control policies.
• Performs all types of EEGs including bedside, electrical cerebral silence and standard lab EEGs.
• Documents data in patient charts and lab files.
• Explains tests to patients to obtain optimal results.
• Performs accurate documentation of testing results.
• Prepares patients for examinations and provides age-appropriate instructions.
• Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs as needed.
• Potential to complete all neurodiagnostic tests per training.
• Notify Neuroscience physician for grossly abnormal tracings when required.
