Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEGs, LTMs, and related tests with a focus on accuracy and patient care. The role emphasizes teamwork, equipment troubleshooting, and precise documentation in patient charts and lab files.

The position requires independent EEG experience, BLS certification, and the ability to explain procedures to patients of varying ages. Multiple shifts are available, with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Formal Neurodiagnostic tech training or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of EEG procedures and data collection.
• Ability to follow infection control policies.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects equipment with appropriate solutions.
• Completes EEGs/LTMs.
• Documents appropriate data in patient chart and lab files.
• Explains tests, procedures to patients to obtain optimal results.
• Performs accurate documentation.
• Performs all types of EEGs including bedside, silent and standard lab EEGs.
• Prepares patients for examinations and provides age-appropriate explanations.
• Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs as needed.
• May perform a full range of neurodiagnostic tests within competence.
