Advocate Health in High Point, NC, Wake Forest Health Network: High Point Westchester Med Plz – Neurology, seeks a Neurodiagnostic technologist for full-time, M-F 8a-5p, 40 h/wk. Performs EEG/EMG/NCV and related studies across sites with ABRET EEG certification progress required within 2–3 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred.
• Board eligibility for ABRET certification in EEG required within 2 years of hire, and registry preparation within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex EEG procedures, NCV, EP and others as trained.
• Identifies and corrects basic equipment issues.
• Performs Neurodiagnostic procedures using appropriate test strategies and calibration.
• Reviews patient history and transfers information to reports.
• Maintains accurate record keeping of history forms and clipped data.
• Assists with long-term monitoring, evoked potentials, and intraoperative neuromonitoring as appropriate.
• Responds to seizures and other patient emergencies.
• Demonstrates infection control and safe hazardous materials handling.
