Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois is seeking an Electroencephalographic Technologist to perform EEGs and related neurodiagnostic procedures with precision and compassionate patient care. This full-time role requires 2 years of Neurodiagnostic Tech experience and ABRET EEG registration within one year, plus BLS within six months per leadership guidance.

The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus (paid half at 90 days and half at 1 year) and comprehensive benefits under Advocate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Neurodiagnostic Tech role.
• ABRET EEG technologist registration to be obtained within 1 year; BLS within 6 months unless exempted by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Performs and maintains competency in EEGs and portable inpatient EEGs with proper electrode placement.
• Prepares patient, collects history, and explains procedures to patient and family.
• Operates EEG equipment, adjusts settings, and recognizes artifacts to obtain quality recordings.
• Conducts neurodiagnostic tests and may perform intraoperative monitoring under supervision.
• Assists physicians in outpatient clinics with related neurodiagnostic tests as needed.
