Advocate Health in Libertyville, IL is seeking a part-time/PRN Electroencephalographic Technologist (R EEG T) for the Neurophysiology: Clinical department. The role requires 2 years in a Neurodiagnostic Tech, ABRET EEG T registration within 1 year, and BLS within 6 months; base pay range is $26.55–$39.85 per hour.

You will perform and maintain EEG procedures, prepare patients, monitor artifacts, and may assist with intraoperative monitoring, ambulatory EEG, EMG/NCS as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Neurodiagnostic Tech role.
• R EEG T registration must be obtained within 1 year.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Performs and maintains competency in EEGs and related procedures.
• Gathers patient history and explains test procedures to patient and family.
• Adjusts electrode placements and settings to obtain optimal recordings.
• Recognizes artifacts and documents corrective actions.
• May perform intraoperative monitoring and ambulatory EEG monitoring.
• Assist physicians with nerve conduction studies and EMGs as needed.
• Ensure care is age-appropriate and in accordance with department policies.
