Job summary

Qualifications

• Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred - Associate degree.
• Required - BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs the duties outlined for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (END) under supervision.
• Accurately takes and documents pertinent history from the patient or chart.
• Sets-up patients for EEG, EP, NCS, TCD or IOM.
• Measures/marks and applies recording electrodes according to the International 10-20 system.
• Performs diagnostic studies with documentation and observation of the patient.
• Troubleshoots equipment and artifacts, distinguishing normal from abnormal.
• Maintains infection control standards relating to patient and equipment.
• Maintains professional development, clinical knowledge and credentials.
• Adapts communication to the patient population and staff.
• Performs other related duties as required.
