Job summary

North Oaks Health System in Hammond, LA is seeking an EEG Tech to join the Neurodiagnostics team. You will perform EEG recordings, place electrodes per the 10-20 system, and document patient history under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and an accredited ENDT or Polysomnographic training; ABRET eligibility is required. Full-time, with rotating weekends and holidays; standard shift is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High School graduate and accredited ENDT or Polysomnographic tech training.
• One year digital EEG experience preferred.
• Eligible for examination for registration by ABRET.

Responsibilities

• Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner according to the 10-20 system; ensure impedances meet standards.
• Obtain and document comprehensive patient history.
• Perform EEG recordings (routine, sleep, bedside, electrocerebral silence).
• Adjust settings and use extra electrodes or montages to obtain optimal recording.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report issues; maintain safety and infection control.
