Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technician to perform EEG, NCS, and autonomic testing with proper electrode placement and patient positioning under general supervision. You will interpret results and coordinate with the Neurologist to ensure accurate, timely care.

The role requires maintaining equipment, supporting EMG testing when needed, and working with patients across age ranges from neonates to geriatrics in a hospital/clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years experience independently performing EEG procedures in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC software and ability to schedule EEG patient studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG, NCS, and autonomic testing with correct electrode placement and patient positioning.
• Interpret wave characteristics and provide timely interpretations to the Neurologist/provider.
• Monitor patient responses during tests and maintain accurate records.
• Operate and maintain EEG equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Assist with EMG and tilt table testing when required.
• Coordinate procedures within the EEG/NCS/Autonomic testing schedule.
