Qualifications

• Experience performing routine and advanced NCS on upper/lower extremities.
• Knowledge of electrode placement and latency measurements.
• Ability to educate patients and document findings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced sensory and motor nerve conduction studies of the upper and lower extremities, including F-waves, H-reflexes, and comparison studies.
• Prepare and educate patients regarding testing procedures and obtain appropriate clinical history.
• Demonstrate knowledge of peripheral nerve anatomy, neurophysiology, electrode placement, stimulation techniques, and standard nerve conduction study protocols.
• Accurately measure stimulation and recording distances and identify latency, amplitude, and conduction velocity measurements.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate extremity temperature to ensure technically accurate results.
• Communicate relevant patient history and technical findings to the interpreting physician.
