Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a cEEG monitoring support role to observe patients during recording, alert staff to events, and help document occurrences. The position emphasizes patient safety and collaboration with neurodiagnostic technologists.

The candidate should be capable of monitoring in-room or remote video setups, communicating with patients and staff, and staying current with hospital trainings to maintain competency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitors patients undergoing cEEG recording for safety, either in room or via remote video monitoring. May document observations.
• Alerts nursing or technologist staff and supervisor or activates appropriate hospital systems per established protocols when seizures or other clinical issues occur.
• May communicate with patients and bedside staff to obtain information about events.
• May assist Neurodiagnostic technologists as needed, including restocking supplies, electrode removal, and disinfection.
• Maintains ongoing competence by completing hospital trainings and attending relevant educational offerings.
