Job summary

Banner Health is hiring for a Certified Patient Care Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator in Casper, WY. The role supports administrative functions for the Neuro unit, handling patient care coordination, admissions, and discharge processes, while assisting nursing staff with ADLs and vital monitoring.

The position requires 4 weekend shifts on a 3‑12 schedule (6:00am−6:30pm) with a 4‑week schedule; BLS certification is preferred and required when indicated.

Qualifications

• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred in a hospital or clinician setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer literacy needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations and patient flow.
• Process admissions, bed assignments, and record-keeping for admissions and discharges.
• Maintain patient records and ensure charting forms are filed and accessible.
• Coordinate patient appointments and procedures to support timely discharge.
• Monitor supplies and coordinate requisitions; track equipment as needed.
• Assist with communication between physicians, nurses, and other departments.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
