Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Assistant to support daily patient care under supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, collect vital signs, and perform basic non-sterile treatments, contributing to PFCC through respectful patient and family interactions.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. CNA certification or progress toward nursing program enrollment is expected, with prior patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a CNA or complete certification prior to completion of orientation or be enrolled in a nursing program.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily patient care activities including activities of daily living.
• Records data such as weights, temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Performs non-sterile treatments and phlebotomy/EKG as assigned.
