Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a CNA or complete certification prior to orientation.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program after one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily patient care activities including activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Obtains weights, temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure measurements.
• Performs non-sterile treatments such as applying cold compresses.
• Performs specimen collection/procedures including phlebotomy as assigned.
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills in all interactions with patients and families.
• Maintains active involvement in educational activities related to role and attends mandatory inservices.
• Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Patient Care Manager and remains flexible to unit needs.
