Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse and Patient Services Manager.

Responsibilities include vital signs, assisting with treatments, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure PFCC principles and excellent customer service for patients and families. CPR certification is required; a high school diploma or GED and CNA or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• CNA or other educational equivalent (e.g., Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Student Nurse with one semester).
• Two years of direct patient care experience or equivalent education.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse, perform duties that support patient care, direct and indirect.
• Obtain and record vital signs as delegated by the RN.
• Assist with technical duties and treatments to support safe, efficient patient care.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to address patient/family needs with cultural sensitivity.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; cover BA desk when needed.
