Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Stroke department at Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, TX. This PRN role covers day shifts, delivering patient care plans and coordinating care across disciplines.

You will monitor patient conditions, carry out orders, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. TX RN license and BLS are required, with at least 1 year of RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month of hire date or transfer date.
• RN license from Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Coordinates care as the primary point of contact for all disciplines.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.
