Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated RN for the Neuro ICU. This full-time role covers day shifts with a 36-hour schedule across three 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends.

You will implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The position requires a nursing diploma, Texas RN licensure, and timely ACLS/BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire (AHA or Red Cross).
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire (AHA or Red Cross).
• Registered Nurse licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
