Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Highland Park Hospital campus. This part-time, evening shift role includes 16 hours per week with rotating weekends, supporting RN/LPN staff with direct patient care and safety.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, accurate documentation and adherence to hospital policies. Responsibilities include patient interactions, basic nursing care (ADLs), safe patient handling, admissions/discharges, and department support.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights and phones.
• Assist in ambulation, safe patient handling, and transfers as directed.
• Provide ADLs and basic nursing care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and room orientation.
• Document patient care activities and notify nursing staff as needed.
• Restock equipment, linens and supplies and support department needs.
