Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care in the Neuro unit under nursing supervision. Night shift hours are 7:00pm–7:00am, with a 36-hour work week and full benefit eligibility.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, documenting care, and ensuring patient safety. CNA certification is preferred, and weekend/holiday rotations are required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Assists with ADLs, performs vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested.
• Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Documents all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology.
• Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
