Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support licensed nurses on a patient‑care team.

This full‑time role covers 36 hours per week with night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am in the Progressive Care Unit, a 16‑bed unit caring for post‑operative cardiovascular and thoracic patients. Responsibilities include assisting with Activities of Daily Living, measuring vital signs, intake and output, phlebotomy or point of care testing as requested,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
• No prior experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse and promotes patient and family centered care.
• Administers or assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and performs vital signs, intake/output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy or point of care testing as requested.
• Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes to the nurse. Documents care using correct medical terminology.
• Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary and ensures availability of supplies and equipment.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and professional development.
