Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a licensed Medical Doctor to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient care within an established practice area. The role emphasizes clinical care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to approved protocols.

Essential duties include performing diagnoses, delivering medical services, instructing patients and families, and maintaining accurate records in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor must be licensed and board certified/eligible to practice medicine in the service state.
• Doctor of Osteopathy must be licensed and board certified/eligible to practice medicine in the service state.
• DEA license required (federal/state) to practice medicine.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocol and standards of practice.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families; promote health education to individuals and groups.

Education

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed and board certified or board eligible

Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine Licensed and board certified or board eligible

Federal Drug Enforcement Admin - DEA license
