Job summary

Avera McKennan is seeking a Medical Doctor to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a hospital setting. The role requires board certification or eligibility and practice licensed in the state.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in patient education, documentation, and referrals, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards. PTO from day one, retirement plan, and professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in the state where services are provided.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in a medical specialty.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to approved protocols and standards.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Contributes to health education and motivates patients to take responsibility for their health care.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interprets diagnostic information and formulates an appropriate care plan.
• Maintains patient records and ensures accurate information.
• Makes appropriate referrals for patients and coordinates with the care team.
