Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and produce diagnostic images under physician direction. The role requires routine MRI procedures with emphasis on patient safety and comfort.

You will prepare patients, adjust equipment, and coordinate exam scheduling while maintaining records and collaborating with radiologists. ARRT Radiography and MR certification upon hire are required.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT Radiography and MR certification upon hire.
• Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or hospital Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and adjust MRI equipment for procedures.
• Position and instruct patients regarding MRI procedures.
• Administer IV contrast media and manage IV access.
• Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently per established standards.
• Coordinate daily MRI schedules and assess exam completion.
• Assist with staff and student on-the-job training and orientation.
• Maintain MRI records and reports per regulatory requirements.
• Provide detailed reports to management and consult with radiologists.
