Job summary

Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls is seeking a physician to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient care within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to moving health forward.

You will assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients, maintain records, and collaborate with care teams to ensure safety and high-quality care. A valid MD or DO license and DEA registration are required.

Qualifications

• MD licensed and board certified or eligible in the state of practice.
• DO licensed and board certified or eligible in the state of practice.
• DEA license required for practice and prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to approved protocols.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Collaborates with care team to promote quality care.
• Maintains patient records and accurate information.
• Ensures appropriate referrals are made for patients.
• Adheres to safety and regulatory standards.

Education

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided and board certified or board eligible Upon Hire
