Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Texas RN license or RN with compact privilege from a Nurse Licensure Compact state, plus Texas APRN license.
• Certification from an accredited board as an APRN for the patient population focused on.

Responsabilités

• Performs comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and collects medical histories.
• Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes or recommends medical drug therapies or other treatments; performs procedures within approved protocols.
• Develops and implements patient treatment plans and monitors response to care.
• Counsels patients and families on medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintains patient records and initiates referrals when needed.
• Provides consultation in specialty areas and manages patients in inpatient or emergency settings.
• Performs invasive procedures specific to scope of practice as delegated by supervising physician.
• May cover additional duties based on department needs.
