Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a Unit Secretary for the Neuro MedSurg unit on day shifts. You’ll greet patients and families, manage records and orders, and coordinate communications to keep the care team connected and the unit running smoothly.

The role requires experience in a hospital, clinic, or physician office; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus, and CPR/BLS within 30 days of hire may be required. A collaborative, compassionate approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in physician office, clinic, or hospital preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology beneficial.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast paced environment required.
• Positive demeanor with ability to complete tasks with little or no supervision but also thrive in a team environment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and guiding patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, offering updates, and ensuring they feel informed and supported.
• Maintaining patient records accurately, entering physician orders, and protecting patient information.
• Handling all communications between incoming calls and care team members promptly and clearly to keep the unit connected.
• Keeping the environment clean, organized, and well-stocked to promote safety and comfort.
• Taking initiative to solve challenges, support daily operations, and foster a culture of respect and teamwork.
