Job Summary
The FT Nights Neuro Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities include assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient rounding to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages served as per scope of service.
- Promote customer service initiatives.
- Utilize nursing processes to meet the needs of patients.
- Perform technical skills and procedures as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or another acceptable Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Pursue and complete Med‑Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.
