Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for Neuro/Medical on a 36-bed unit. You will care for a mix of neuro patients including ischemic/hemorrhagic strokes, post-thrombolytic patients, and those requiring EEG monitoring.

Requires GA RN licensure, an associate degree, and at least 1 year of nursing experience; new grads may enter the RN Residency Program. Strong communication and safety culture are essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia required.
• Associates Degree required; Bachelor preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a professional RN.
• New graduate RNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the RN Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic assessment skills.
• Demonstrates the 5 rights of medication administration.
• Plans and manages care from basic to more complex patients.
• Documents nursing process in the EMR accurately.
• Complies with DNV standards and organizational policies.
• Coordinates discharge planning and interdisciplinary care.
• Contributes to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
