Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System's Neuro/Medical unit is a 36-bed neuro medical and intermediate care unit. The RN cares for a mix of ischemic/stroke patients, post-thrombolysis, EEG-monitored patients and others, while coordinating discharge planning and teamwork across disciplines.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure, an Associates Degree in Nursing, and one year of professional RN experience. New graduates or those with less than one year are referred to the RN Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• One year of professional RN experience required.
• New graduates or those with less than one year experience referred to RN Residency.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic assessment and five rights of med administration.
• Documents nursing process in the EMR and coordinates care.
• Participates in discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Supports safety culture and evidence-based practice on unit.
