Job summary
HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to provide expert clinical care in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit. You will assess and plan patient care, educate patients and families on medications, and maintain accurate records of treatments and results.
The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license (or compact), with a Nursing Diploma/ASN and BSN preferred. Acute care experience and BLS certification are highly valued in this role, with opportunities for professional
Qualifications
- Florida RN license or valid compact license; active FL RN within 60 days of hire
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills, ability to follow instructions
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatments
- Maintain and review patient records including test results
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
