Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in a demanding Med/Surg setting. You will assess and plan patient care, educate patients and families on medications and treatment, and maintain detailed records while administering medications per physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license (compact acceptable), a Nursing Diploma or ASN, and preferably a BSN with prior acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
