Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Neurointerventional Radiology team. The role focuses on care for neuro-interventional patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, including pre/post procedure visits and ICU co-management.

The APP will perform history and physicals, pre-procedure consultations, post-procedure follow-ups, and coordinate care with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Massachusetts license and NCCPA certification.
• Master’s degree and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Preferably ACNP/AGACNP Acute Care/Critical Care clinical experience required.
• Board Certification by ANCC or AANP.
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Registration are required.

Responsibilities

• Cares for Neuro-Interventional radiology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform pre-procedure history and physicals, consultations and post-procedure follow ups.
• Co-manage ICU patients and provide continuity of patient care with the care team.
• Coordinate communication between health care team, patient and family.
• After training, perform minor procedures as needed and participate in research/best practices.
