UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology team at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA. You will provide comprehensive outpatient general neurology care, evaluating and managing a broad range of neurological conditions.

The position offers a collaborative environment with physician and APP support, opportunities for subspecialty focus, and professional growth within UMass Memorial Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Eligible or current Massachusetts license, with national certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, as applicable).
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA registration are required.
• Neurology experience preferred but not required for highly qualified candidates with relevant clinical experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive neurological histories and physical examinations.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of neurological conditions.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, review, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.
• Provide patient and family education regarding neurological diagnoses, treatment, and prevention.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and communication with other healthcare team members.
• Collaborate closely with neurologists, APPs, primary care providers, and other specialists.
• Participate in quality improvement and departmental initiatives.
• Support the growth and development of Neurology services within Harrington Hospital.
