Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Neurointerventional Radiology team. You will care for patients with brain aneurysms, stroke, and cerebrovascular disease, performing H&Ps, consultations, and post-procedure follow-ups in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role includes ICU co-management, minor procedures after training, and coordination with a dedicated team in a level-1 Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Massachusetts license and NCCPA certification.
• Master’s degree and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (ACNP/AGACNP preferred).
• Acute Care/Critical Care clinical experience required.
• Board certification by ANCC or AANP; Massachusetts DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure histories and physical examinations and consultations.
• Provide post-procedure follow-up visits in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Manage post-procedure care in inpatient units and ICU co-management.
• Coordinate communication among health care teams, patients, and families.
• Perform minor procedures (lumbar punctures, suturing, first assisting) after training.
• Contribute to continuity of care and apply research and best practices.
