Job summary
Rhode Island Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to support Neurointerventional Radiology and Vascular Neurology. You will oversee a caseload across the care continuum, contributing to hyperacute stroke care, education, and clinical collaboration within the ED, Stroke Service and NIR.
The role requires MSN with NP/PA program completion, BLS/ACLS certification and 1–2 years in an acute care setting.
Qualifications
- Master of Science Degree, graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Certification: BLS and ACLS.
- One to two years related APP experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of patients with the healthcare team to optimize health status.
- Coordinate care across acute, home, and ambulatory settings.
- Provide direct care in acute care settings and assist in procedures.
- Educate and mentor healthcare providers and staff.
