Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Neuro Intermediate Care unit in Norfolk, VA. This part-time position involves an evening 12-hour shift with rotating weekends, providing patient care, vital signs, and assistance with activities of daily living under RN supervision.

Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of several CNA/NCPCT/NCMA pathways; BLS within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) and one of the listed credential paths.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs, mobility and ambulation support.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKG, and IV/line care as directed.
• Observe, document, and report patient status changes to RN.
