Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a part-time Neuro ICU RN for 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities include acute patient assessments, coordination of care, and documentation across a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment.

Required: Associate degree (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license, BLS, ACLS within 12 months, and basic computer skills. Critical care experience preferred; ECLS/ECMO expertise welcomed as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required, BSN preferred.
• Critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license if working in IL.
• BLS, Mandatory Reporter.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• NVCI within 6 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & planning: perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop outcome-based care plans.
• Care implementation: coordinate and deliver patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Evaluation & documentation: reassess patients and document thoroughly.
• Communication: communicate patient status and care needs across teams and during shifts.
• Clinical competence: follow protocols and administer medications safely; operate required systems.
