Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Neonatal/Neuro ICU RN for a part-time night role (12-hour nights, 7 PM–7 AM). 24 hours per week with new ICU RN rate. Includes relocation incentive eligibility and a newly increased weekend shift differential.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license, BLS, ACLS within 12 months, and strong critical care skills. Prior ECMO experience is a plus; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license if working in IL.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• Cardiac monitoring course or equivalent critical care training.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
• Solid computer skills for charting and order entry.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care; develop outcomes-based plans.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care; delegate tasks as needed.
• Reassess patients, update care plans, document thoroughly.
• Communicate status and needs across teams and during shifts.
• Maintain safety, follow protocols, and use required systems.
• Manage ECMO patients if applicable and document data.
• Provide age-appropriate, culturally competent care.
• Lead/direct others in high-stress situations.
