Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for the Neuro ICU in Oklahoma City. The RN will operate under supervision, delivering high-quality hospital care, monitoring patients, administering treatments, and coordinating with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• License/Certification/Registration: Current RN License (OK State Board or eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.
• Assists physician in examination and minor procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Informs patient and family of procedures and care plan.
