Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Neuro ICU Nurse Technician PRN Days to support RN staff in patient care within the Neuro Transplant ICU. The role emphasizes following physician and nursing orders, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with admissions, discharges, transports, and sterile procedures.

Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program or completed program with licensure exam in progress; BLS certification required on hire.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program or has completed a program and applied to the licensure examination.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health status under supervision and implement the plan of care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Take and record vital signs and anthropometrics.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and IV infusion/ transfusion monitoring as directed.
• Set up and discontinue telemetry monitoring.
• Collect specimens and perform sterile procedures as assigned.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
• Transport patients as needed and ensure patient rooms are clean and stocked.
