Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Dell Seton Medical Center-UT in Austin, TX. This night-shift, full-time role covers 36 hours across three 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends to support patient care excellence.

You'll deliver high-acuity nursing care, monitor patients closely, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and lead discharge planning to ensure safe transitions for high-risk patients while adhering to safety protocols

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date.

Responsibilities

• High-Acuity Care Delivery: Provides expert direct nursing care for intermediate-level patients, strictly adhering to complex clinical policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Vigilant Patient Monitoring: Implements individualized care plans while meticulously tracking and communicating physiological changes to ensure timely medical interventions.
• Interdisciplinary Leadership: Acts as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines to ensure seamless, well-synchronized patient care and treatment execution.
• Strategic Care Coordination: Precisely executes physician orders and leads comprehensive discharge planning to ensure a safe transition for high-risk patients.
