Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in Richmond, VA, seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Acute Neuroscience Trauma unit, a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. You will provide direct, age-appropriate care under RN supervision, support patient comfort, safety, and daily living activities, and help with monitoring and reporting changes.

Preferred qualifications include High School diploma or equivalent, CNA, and AHA BLS HCP certification.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, direct care to patients with age-appropriate adjustments.
• Assist with personal hygiene, comfort, and safety needs.
• Follow nursing/medical plans and hospital policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked environment.
• Record vital signs and other patient information.
• Assist with specimen collection as needed.
• Participate in in-services and trainings.
• Support patient safety initiatives and teamwork.
