Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Education Supervisor to support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing educational needs of nursing staff in adult general medicine units. The role emphasizes developing professional growth, advancing clinical knowledge, and boosting career development for staff.

Prior acute care nursing experience is required. The Education Supervisor will coordinate orientation for all new hires, manage learning activities, and ensure competency validation in a system-wide education

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• 3 years nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience required. A Master's Degree in Nursing may substitute for 2 years of required experience.
• Current or compact RN licensure in NC required. BLS required. Instructor certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding, orientation and ongoing education for nursing staff in assigned units.
• Coordinate preceptors, learning activities and competency validation.
• Develop education plans, career pathways and performance review processes.
• Deliver annual competency validation and maintain education documentation.
• Collaborate with unit leadership to align training with regulatory standards.
• Participate in personnel actions including hiring and performance actions as needed.
