Job summary

Arbor Neuroscience, a nonprofit focused on neuromodulation research, is hiring to analyze longitudinal data from functional ultrasound and electrophysiology. You will develop tooling and analyses alongside a quantitative team.

Responsibilities include designing image processing, online analysis, and closed-loop experiments, with scope from individual to organization-wide computational direction as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• PhD or comparable training required in a demanding environment such as industry.
• Depth in several areas: signal processing, statistics and inference, ML, brain imaging analysis, control theory, computational neuroscience; not all required.
• Strong coding skills and ability to produce independent work.

Responsibilities

• Own analysis of Arbor's experimental data, including functional ultrasound imaging and electrophysiology, and the tooling that supports it.
• Collaborate with the experimental team from study design through interpretation to answer high-priority questions.
• Develop image processing tools: registration, alignment, artifact handling, and data demands.
• Help design algorithms for intervention optimization and adaptive experiment design.
• Develop online and real-time analysis methods to support closed-loop experiments.
• Build methods for integrating data across modalities and scales.
• Contribute to high-level scientific decisions about organizational direction.
