Job summary

The role requires an ADN or Nursing Diploma, with BSN in progress or planned within three years of hire, and a valid RN license plus BLS/CPR within 60 days. A Nurse Residency Program participation is acceptable for experience.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months or more of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and commitment to delivering high quality care.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
• Current and valid registered nurse license to work at the assigned HMH location.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Direct and oversee care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
