Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. invites applications for a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to lead studies in neuroscience using patient-derived iPSCs, astrocytes, neurons, microglia, and forebrain organoids.

• PhD in neuroscience or related field—required.
• Experience with iPSC-derived neural models and organoids is preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, execute, and analyze complex research procedures using iPSC-derived neurons, astrocytes, microglia, and forebrain organoids.
• Perform calcium imaging on neurons and astrocytes.
• Develop new lab methods including high content imaging and RNA sequencing approaches.
• Mentor technicians and students; present findings in meetings and prepare manuscripts.
